  • Nonlinear Dynamical Systems Theory: Mixing, transport, and chaos in aperiodic systems and systems with many degrees of freedom, Lagrangian coherent structures, hyperbolic separation, normal hyperbolicity, solid-fluid interaction, chaotic transport of immerged solid particles.
  • Turbulence: Onset of turbulence in Euler and Navier-Stokes equations, Lagrangian coherent structures in turbulent flows, geometrical description of transport and mixing processes.
  • Flow Control: Separation controllers, multi-vehicle control and formation stability in turbulent flows,optimal deployment of drifting sensors, optimal release of contaminants.
  • Scientific Programming: C, C++, Pascal, Fortran, Python, Java, PHP, concurrent programming.
